The first dream I remember clearly was when I was five. It was a nightmare, and in it, there was a fierce dog, which ran after me. I was so scared that I shouted for help in the dream. When the dog grabbed my leg, I opened my eyes with a start. It was dark, so I screamed in terror and burst into tears. My mother got up immediately and came to my bedside. I was still crying and telling her that there is a terrifying barking dog. My mother soon realized that I was scared from a bad dream. She patted my back and told me that everything was fine and I was just dreaming. Then she turned on the light and sat with me until I fell asleep again.
I used to dream of becoming an astronaut when I was a boy. Every night I always dreamed that I was travelling in space. When I was a little larger, I dreamed I would be an astronaut, and I was flying in the sky, the stars were shining brightly around me.
I was so happy that I couldn’t keep still. I was going to moon to take back some soil, and then, I landed on Mars, Venus, even the sun. What a brilliant dream! I will never forget it.
Dreams can reflect our subconsciousness, for example, we must be afraid of something if we have a nightmare. And sometimes dreams will show our wishes. It will be good for us if we have the chance to analyze our dreams.
However, sometimes we just can’t bear the frequent dreams disturbing our sleep. Then, is there a way to learn to control our dreams or even give up our dreams? People try many ways, and many of them do work. If you try some of those ways and find it really useful, I hope you would tell me so that I could have a good sleep, too.
One of my friends told me that he sometimes controlled his dreams when he was asleep. This is called lucid dreams. He knew that he was dreaming, so he did all kinds of cool things in the dream. He was flying in the air and talking with alien. If he had an unpleasant dream, he might change it to something else instead of being frightened. It should be wonderful to do what you want in the dream. I want to learn to have lucid dreams, don’t you?
